Immunization

We recommend the national standard schedule (from the C.D.C) for vaccine administration, but will be happy to work with you on your own scheduling ideas/concerns.

The standard immunization schedule is as follows:

Age - Immunization Needed

  • Birth - Hepatitis B
  • 1 month - Hepatitis B
  • 2 months - Polio, Dtap, Prevnar, Hib, Rotavirus
  • 4 months - Polio, Dtap, Prevnar, Hib, Rotavirus
  • 6 months - Dtap, Hib, Prevnar, +/- Rotavirus
  • 9 months - Hepatitis B, Polio
  • 12 months - Hib, Prevnar, MMR
  • 15 months - Dtap, Hepatitis A
  • 18 months - Varivax, MMR
  • 2 years -  Hepatitis A
  • 4-5 years - Polio, MMR, Varivax, Dtap
  • 11-12 years -  dTaP, Meningococcal, HPV


We also recommend the influenza vaccine in the fall of each year starting at 6 months of age and older.

Abbreviations:

  • Dtap: Diptheria,Tetnus, Pertussis
  • Prevnar: pnuemococcus
  • HiB: Haemaphilus influenza
  • MMR: measle,mumps,rubella
  • Varivax: chickenpox
  • HPV: Human Papilloma Virus
